6th EPNOE International Polysaccharide Conference that will take place from 21st– 25th of October 2019, Aveiro Portugal. Dr Anna Svedberg presents the results of the research for the PlastiCel project: “Cellulose replaces plastic in future packaging materials: "Formation of cellulose-based foams with reinforcement of cellulose nanocrystals for porous architecture and thermal insulation” under the theme Polysaccharide based Nanocomposites. Elisabete Frollini & Kristiina Oksman are moderators for that session.
This congress is an initiative of EPNOE, the Cellulose and Renewable Division of the American Chemistry Society (ACS), and the Cellulose Society of Japan (CSJ) and is being hosted in Aveiro, Portugal for the first time.
The ambition of the EPNOE International Polysaccharides Conferences is to bring together researchers from academia and industry working or interested in polysaccharides related R&D topics, to disseminate results and to promote a networking platform for close interactions between academia and industry.
PlastiCel project is financed by Interreg and it is a cooperation between MoRe Research, RISE PFI and Mid Sweden University.
