Claudia Quineche new PhD student in research on wood chips

Claudia Quineche has started as a doctoral student for Umeå University with Leif Jönsson as professor. Her research will be conducted at MoRE and is about resource-efficient chipping and improved impregnation of chips for forest industrial processes.

This is how Claudia describes herself:

I am Claudia Quineche and I come from Peru. I did my studies in Chemical Engineering back at home and while my studies I did a one year internship during 2018 in Lulea and I really loved the experience.

I have been living in France since 2020 where I did my Master studies in Biorefinery and Biomaterials at Grenoble INP. I am happy to be back in Sweden and start my PhD with Umea University in collaboration with More Research.

I have installed myself in Örnsköldsvik, my research is about "Resource-efficient wood chipping and improved impregnatino of wood chips for forest-industrial processes". I am very excited about this opportunity and looking forward to work in this research in collaboration with the industry.

I like outdoor activities like hiking and camping and already loving fika.
