Here you get the opportunity to be part of an exciting and dynamic work environment where you get to work with leading technicians and researchers in the field. The Process and Materials Technology group that you will belong to currently consists of eighteen people who together have broad and deep expertise in fiber line processes (wood/cleaning, pulp boiling, bleaching), lignin and cellulose chemistry and paper technology.

Your main duties as an engineer will include:

  • Work collaboratively with scientists and engineers in the team to solve technical challenges and improve processes in the factories
  • Use your factory experience to identify opportunities for improvements and streamlining of processes
  • Participate in meetings with customers and partners to identify their needs and develop customized solutions

The role includes creating projects together with current customers but also creating new business opportunities with new customers. The assignment also includes initiating research projects in collaboration with other parts of RISE and with external institutes, universities and colleges.

Who are you?
To thrive in the role of engineer with us, we are looking for you who are curious and have a desire to learn and develop. You have the ability to be communicative as the position means that you have contacts both inside and outside the organization. In your work, you are meticulous and thrive in a role where you are expected to take responsibility and drive your own work forward.

To be successful in the role, the following is required:

  • Relevant academic degree in technology or equivalent
  • Experience of working within the pulp and paper industry and have a good knowledge of the processes used
  • Experience in factory operations and knowledge of industrial processes and challenges
  • Experience in project management and being able to work independently
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English

We are looking for someone who is determined and has the ability and desire to be involved in developing the business and, above all, to create projects/deals together with our customers.

As a person, you are social and find it easy to create and maintain contacts. You are a humble and flexible team player who can work both independently and in a group. You are meticulous, analytical and systematic in your work, which you carry out with great commitment. You are driven and not afraid to take your own initiative. Focusing on protection and safety, for yourself and your colleagues, is a natural part of your personality. You are expected to have a very good knowledge of Swedish as well as command of spoken and written English.

Are we right for each other?
We give you a real challenge where we offer committed colleagues and stimulating questions to work on together with our industrial customers and research partners. At MoRe and within RISE, we want you to succeed and feel good, so that you, together with your colleagues, can contribute to a sustainable future and secure a leading position for Swedish industry and research globally.
