Atanu Kumar Das researches in non-wood and wood pulp and bio-based foam products

Atanu Kumar Das is a new researcher at MoRe Research with a solid educational background in forestry and pulp and paper. He has previously worked at SLU and has a position at MoRe with a focus on the processing of raw materials.

Atanu Kumar Das describes himself:

I have obtained a BSc in Forestry (Major in wood science) and an MSc in Forestry (Major in wood science) from Forestry and Wood Technology Discipline, Khulna University, Khulna, Bangladesh. I have also received an MSc (Major in pulp and paper), from the Department of Pulp and Paper Technology, Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. I have completed my PhD in Technology from Forest Biomaterials and Technology, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Umeå, Sweden.

My research goal is to work for the betterment of human beings by developing new bioproducts by converting both virgin and waste biomass in a proper way. Development of bioproducts includes solid and liquid biofuel, bio-based materials for the energy sector (electrode, capacitor, battery, and graphene), 3D nano and macro biocomposites, biomedical products, macro and nano lignocellulosic composite materials, lignin and lignin products, wood and non-wood products, and pulp and paper products.

I am currently focusing on non-wood and wood pulping and biobased foam products. I am open to all of my research goals.
