Grammage
Method ISO 536 measures the basis weight of paper and board. It is important to know how many fibers there are on a specific surface within paper products.
Preparation: Before testing, sample handling takes place according to ISO 186 and conditioning according to ISO 187 and moisture content if desired according to ISO 287.
Measured quantity: Basis weight where the mass of a specific surface is analyzed in g/m2.
