Fibre characterization

Fibre characterization

MoRe can measure titre, fibre strength or tenacity as well as elongation on staple fibres and viscose filament, but also on other fibre materials.

MoRe is equipped with two instruments for determination of e.g. linear density, fibre strength or tenacity and elongation on staple fibres and viscose filament. Spinning studies based on viscose dope from dissolving cellulose, either produced in our pilot equipment or delivered from the customers, can be done in our spinning pilot and the final viscose fibre can then be characterised. The most common analysis is done on dry fibres but we can also analyse wet fibres.

The instruments are a Vibrodyn 400 and a Vibroskop 400 from Lenzing Instruments. The qualifications are based on the methods SS-EN ISO 5079, ISO 1973:1995 (E) and ISO 1130-1975 (E).
